Speaking in tongues is not the evidence of the indwelling presence of the holy spirit, the fruit of the spirit is. Speaking in tongues is the initial sign but the ongoing evidence is the fruit and then the gifts, in that order. If we speak with tongues and angels and have not charity we are sounding brass just making lots of noise. We must examine OURSELVES to see whether we are in the faith.
